Lone Eagle Gold Project
The 158-acre Lone Eagle Gold Project is strategically located in Playfair Township, southeast of Timmins in Northeastern Ontario, Canada. The project is ideally situated in the western hub of Canada's most productive gold producing region, the 180 mile Golden Corridor running from Timmins, Ontario to Val d'Or, Quebec which has yielded in excess of 160 million ounces of gold to date.
This equates to approximately 75% of Canada's all-time gold production. The immediate area's prolific Golden Highway from Timmins to Matheson is where some of the world's largest gold mines exist. It hosts the world famous Porcupine Camp, home to more than 65 past and current gold mines, and many of the world's largest and most famous gold mines; such as the Hollinger (19,327,691 oz), Dome (12,191,865 oz), Pamour (4,414,053 oz), Preston (1,539,355 oz), Paymaster (1,192,206 oz) and Detour Lake (1,063,097 oz) and the Ankerite, and Coniaurum, both producers of over 1 million ounces. Due to the long history of the region, infrastructure is already in place, including existing town sites, excellent transportation/roads, ample water and power, knowledgeable and experienced mining personnel, mining oriented government, existing lab and milling facilities, etc. Custom milling is readily available in the immediate area. The established infrastructure will help Pro Minerals Inc. expedite the development of the Lone Eagle Gold Project.
The gold occurrences that exist on the Lone Eagle Gold Project are located about 12.5 km southwest of the Porcupine-Dester Fault Zone. Historic work on the Lone Eagle property dates back to the mid 1930's. Some of the trenching samples from the historic work were encouraging, such as a five foot long sample assaying 10.21 g/t (0.36 oz/t). Other chip sample assays averaged 4.42 g/t (0.156 oz/t), 5.33 g/t (0.188 oz/t), and 1.76 g/t (0.062 oz/t), with background levels of silver, copper, lead and zinc. One trenching sample in 1946 averaged 4.25 g/t (0.15 oz/t) over 24 feet. Another 1946 sample assayed 12.22 g/t (0.431 oz/t) with background levels of base metals; while another trench sample assayed 4.82 g/t (0.17 oz/t) across a 27 foot interval which included 6.24 g/t (0.22 oz/t) across 21 feet. Given the rich history of the region, Pro Minerals Inc. considers the Lone Eagle Project a key holding.
