Shining Tree Geophysical Program Completed

Vancouver, BC - Monday, March 29 2010, 10:00 am PST

Pro Minerals Inc. (TSX.V: PRM); and its Board of Directors are pleased to announce the completion of an initial exploration program consisting of line cutting and geophysics on its wholly owned Shining Tree Gold Project, located in the Shining Tree camp near Kirkland Lake, Ontario. The geophysical campaign was carried out by Insight Geophysics and included Deep Time Domain IP/Resistivity. The survey was utilized in order to locate exploration targets up to a minimum depth of 500m. The line cutting portion of the program is also now completed, and the property has now been readied for a Phase 2 exploration program. Results from the geophysical program are expected very shortly and the company will make a news release to discuss the results once received. Once interpretation of the geophysical results has been completed by Pro’s geological team, a follow up program of sampling and diamond drilling will be commenced.

The Shining Tree Gold Project consists of 5 claims units (80 hectares) located in the Churchill Township, in the Province of Ontario. It is located within the prolific Abitibi greenstone belt which is renowned for its concentration of world-class gold and Au-Cu-Zn-Ag deposits.  As of late, the Shining Tree Camp has been the subject of much exploration activity. Pro Minerals’ claim block, was at the centre of a staking rush in the late 1980’s led by famed prospector Carl Forbes, which gained notoriety when a major Canadian news network filmed and aired a short documentary showing competing exploration companies who hired high-school, and college track athletes to stake on their behalf in an effort get the most prospective ground in the shortest amount of time possible. This claim block has been held privately since that time, and thus access to results from further exploration activities has been restricted. Pro believes the Shining Tree Project is a highly prospective property for gold occurrences. Given available infrastructure such as highways, power and lodging, this underexplored project creates a remarkable opportunity for a potential world class gold discovery.
